Amy grew up on a farm near LaMoure, ND, and she graduated from NDSU in 1995. Amy has worked in the crop insurance industry for over 25 years working as a crop insurance underwriter for Nodak Mutual/American Farm Bureau Insurance Services and as a systems analyst at Fireman's Fund.
After deciding to leave the company side of crop insurance, Amy went to work for a local crop insurance agency. During her 11 years there, Amy became a licensed agent, was promoted to head underwriter, and became Agency Manager. As manager Amy worked with crop insurance companies as well as customers to help explain the complexities of new insurance products.
Amy has been with Martinson Ag Risk Management since its inception in 2016. Amy lives in Fargo with her husband, and they have an adult son and daughter.
Derel grew up on a farm near Grygla, MN, and she graduated from MSUM in 1990. After working in other fields, Derel entered the crop insurance industry in 1995.
From 1995–2007, Derel worked for crop insurance companies such as Dawson Insurance, Fireman’s Fund, and NAU Country Insurance. As a company employee, she worked in all divisions of the companies including accounting, claims, crop hail, underwriting, and systems support.
In 2007, Derel became a licensed crop insurance agent working for a crop insurance agency as an agent and underwriter. She has been with Martinson Ag Risk Managment since its inception in 2016. Derel lives in Fargo, and she has a son and a daughter.
Randy grew up on a family grain and livestock farm in rural Milnor, ND where he farmed for ten years following his graduation from North Dakota State School of Science. He also attended North Dakota State University (NDSU) for Agriculture Economics. While attending NDSU, Randy took an internship with a local commodity brokerage firm that turned out to be a 20-plus year experience. Randy is also a licensed crop insurance agent.
In January 2016 Randy became one of the founders of Martinson Ag Risk Management. In his time with the firm, Randy became well known for his introductory marketing education series for marketing clubs, where he introduces complex marketing strategies in a simple, straightforward manner.
