USDA’s Cattle Inventory report was as expected. The report put All cattle and calves at 97%, as expected and the lowest in 8 years. All cows and heifers that have calves was estimated at 97%. Beef cows were at 96% as expected and the lowest number in 61 years. The calf crop was estimated at 98%, 1% above expectations.
