Crop Progress Report July 1

As of June 30, winter wheat harvest was at 54% complete vs. 40% last week and 39% average. Winter wheat’s crop condition rating decreased 1% to 51% g/e, 34% fair and 15% p/vp.

As of June 30, spring wheat headed was at 38% vs. 18% last week and 37% average. Spring wheat’s crop condition rating increased 1% to 72% g/e, 24% fair, and 4% p/vp.

As of June 30, corn silking was at 11% vs. 4% last week and 6% average. Corn’s crop condition rating dropped 2% to 67% g/e, 24% fair, and 9% p/vp.

As of June 30, soybeans emerged were at 95% vs. 90% last week and 93% average. Soybeans blooming were at 20% vs. 8% last week and 15% average. Soybeans setting pods were at 3% vs. 2% average. Soybeans’ crop condition rating was unchanged at 67% g/e, 25% fair, and 8% p/vp.

As of June 30, sunflower planting was at 97% complete vs. 93% last week and 96% average. North Dakota was at 98% complete vs. 96% last week and 97% average. ND’s sunflowers emerged were at 89% vs. 85% average. ND’s crop condition rating dropped 2% to 75% g/e, 24% fair, and 1% poor.

As of June 30, North Dakota’s canola emerged was at 98%. Canola blooming was at 28% vs. 32% average. Canola’s crop condition rating increased 7% to 67% g/e, 27% fair, and 6% p/vp.
