Just a reminder of the process for binding crop hail coverage.
Hail coverage goes into effect 2 hours after the binder is submitted to the insurance company.
The county, crops, coverage plan, and insurance per acre must be entered in the insurance company’s processing system before the 2 hour clock can start. We don’t need the specific acres to submit a binder. For example: Cass county corn, Basic, $100/acre, approximately 500 acres.
Also note, that the insurance companies review weather data and will deny coverage if it appears the storm hit before the 2 hours were up. Please see the examples below:
