As of June 1, 83% of the nation’s winter wheat crop was headed vs 75% last week and 79% average. Harvest was 3% complete vs. 3% average. The winter wheat crop condition rating increased 2% to 52% g/e, 30% fair, and 18% p/vp.

As of June 1, spring wheat planting progress was estimated at 95% complete vs 87% last week and 90% average. Spring wheat emergence was estimated at 73% vs 60% last week and 69% average. Spring wheat’s crop condition rating increased 5% to 50% g/e, 37% fair, and 13% p/vp.

As of June 1, 93% of the nation’s corn crop was planted vs 87% last week and 93% average. Emergence was estimated at 78% vs 67% last week and 77% average. Corn’s crop condition rating increased 1% to 69% g/e, 26% fair, and 5% p/vp.

As of June 1, 84% of the nation’s soybean crop was planted vs 76% last week and 80% average. Soybean emergence was 63% vs. 50% last week and 57% average. In the season’s first crop condition rating, the soybean crop was rated at 68% g/e, 28% fair, and 5% p/vp.

As of June 1, 41% of the nation’s sunflower crop was planted vs. 24% last week and 36% average. 59% of North Dakota’s sunflowers had been planted vs. 36% last week and 43% average.

As of June 1, 80% of North Dakota’s canola had been planted vs. 54% last week and 74% average. Emergence was at 36% vs. 22% last week and 31% average.
