As of June 8, 88% of the nation’s winter wheat crop was headed vs 83% last week and 86% average. Harvest was 4% complete vs. 3% last week and 7% average. The winter wheat crop condition rating increased 2% to 54% g/e, 30% fair, and 16% p/vp.

As of June 8, spring wheat emergence was estimated at 82% vs 73% last week and 81% average. Spring wheat’s crop condition rating increased 3% to 53% g/e, 38% fair, and 9% p/vp.

As of June 8, 97% of the nation’s corn crop was planted vs 93% last week and 97% average. Emergence was estimated at 87% vs 78% last week and 87% average. Corn’s crop condition rating increased 2% to 71% g/e, 24% fair, and 5% p/vp.

As of June 8, 90% of the nation’s soybean crop was planted vs 84% last week and 88% average. Soybean emergence was 75% vs. 63% last week and 72% average. The soybean crop condition rating was unchanged at 68% g/e, 27% fair, and 5% p/vp.

As of June 8, 58% of the nation’s sunflower crop was planted vs. 41% last week and 56% average. 75% of North Dakota’s sunflowers had been planted vs. 59% last week and 64% average.

As of June 8, 94% of North Dakota’s canola had been planted vs. 80% last week and 89% average. Emergence was at 49% vs. 36% last week and 53% average.
