As of May 25, 75% of the nation’s winter wheat crop was headed vs 64% last week and 70% average. The winter wheat crop condition rating decreased 2% to 50% g/e, 31% fair, and 19% p/vp.

As of May 25, spring wheat planting progress was estimated at 87% complete vs 82% last week and 80% average. Spring wheat emergence was estimated at 60% vs 45% last week and 53% average. In the first crop condition rating of the season, spring wheat conditions were at 45% g/e, 37% fair, and 18% p/vp.

As of May 25, 87% of the nation’s corn crop was planted vs 78% last week and 85% average. Emergence was estimated at 67% vs 50% last week and 60% average. In the first crop condition rating of the season, corn conditions were at 68% g/e, 27% fair, and 5% p/vp.

As of May 25, 76% of the nation’s soybean crop was planted vs 66% last week and 68% average. Soybean emergence was 50% vs. 34% last week and 40% average.

As of May 25, 24% of the nation’s sunflower crop was planted vs. 13% last week and 18% average. 36% of North Dakota’s sunflowers had been planted vs. 19% last week and 23% average.

As of May 25, 54% of North Dakota’s canola had been planted vs. 40% last week and 51% average. Emergence was at 22% vs. 14% average.
